About Us

We formed CitiSafe Analytics in order to create a more nimble and efficient organization that can provide comprehensive and integrated analyses and policy and data solutions for our clients. Starting a new company allows us to respond directly to the needs of our clients, and create custom tailored insights based on the specific situation facing each department we work with. Our mission is to provide highly contextualized data and policy analysis, using our expertise in law enforcement, constitutional policing, and organizational psychology to gain a true and accurate understanding of departmental operations and create practical recommendations.

Our team has over 50 years combined experience across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Our three core staff members each have a background working directly with clients to understand their concerns and craft solutions that are built to meet their specific needs. Our strength in this work has been our ability to leverage our diverse backgrounds- in public safety, data, policy, and consulting - to gain a comprehensive understanding of all the elements impacting departmental operations and officer performance. Our analyses have examined policies, strategies, organizational structures, staffing and shift schedules, communications, and performance incentives to understand how each of these factors influence one another, and how they contribute to the outcomes a department wishes to evaluate. Our work has focused on staffing optimization, including the roles of both sworn and civilian personnel, and opportunities for alternative and co-response models to alleviate officer workload and improve safety outcomes. 

In addition to our core three members, we are extremely grateful for the contributions of a key consultant. His incredible expertise on matters related to police use of force and police performance management were cultivated over 35 years of law enforcement experience, including service as the Chief of Police for a major US city.
